One of the most significant touristic attractions in Eastern Macedonia is the Cave of Aggiti’s river, which has the uniqueness of being the longest river cave in the whole world. The length of the cave is around 15 km, of which only 12.5 km have been mapped and visitable is 500 meters. The view is impressive in the cave and the visitor, while moving on a hallway over the water surface and against the water flow, watches the natural ornamentation, which is dominated by white and red stalactites in various forms. The Cave of Aggitis is positioned, approximately 1 hour northwest of Kavala.
